Description

It is well known that Oric-1 and Oric Atmos have reliability problems loading cassettes.

The Oric Cassette Signal Conditioner comes as a box (100x60x25mm) that connects between the tape recorder and the Oric computer, and converts the analog signal of the cassette into a digital signal, which makes the cassette loading much more reliable.

Above: the analog signal of an Oric cassette seen on an oscilloscope.
Above: the digitized signal of the same Oric cassette at the output of the Conditioner

The video below by 8bitbaz shows the effectiveness of the Signal Conditioner (in English).

The Oric Cassette Signal Conditioner works for both Oric-1 and Oric Atmos.

The PCB being assembled

Finally, each Signal Conditioner is tested before shipping.
