Description
This is the Do-It-Yourself kit version of the Oric Cassette Tape Signal Conditioner. It is a simple project but requires soldering skills.
If you’d rather have the ready to use version, please have a look here.
It is well known that Oric-1 and Oric Atmos have reliability problems loading cassettes.
The Oric Cassette Signal Conditioner comes as a box (100x60x25mm) that connects between the tape recorder and the Oric computer, and converts the analog signal of the cassette into a digital signal, which makes the cassette loading much more reliable.

The video below by 8bitbaz shows the effectiveness of the Signal Conditioner (in English).
The Oric Cassette Signal Conditioner works for both Oric-1 and Oric Atmos.

This kit includes the plastic enclosure, the PCB, all the required components and the instructions.
It requires a 9 volt battery (LR6 type) not supplied.
You will also need a 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male jack cable (mono or stereo both work) not supplied.
