Since June 2019, around 70 converters were purchased<\/strong> To date, only one or two installations have failed, and the problem could not be resolved. Perhaps the console was faulty from the start?<\/p>\n

If you never get any image or sound after installing the mod, Ensure all connections are correct<\/strong>, between the TIA and the PCB, and especially between the PCB and the SCART socket<\/strong>, and if that still doesn't work, check again.<\/p>\n

The rare problems that users encountered and that I became aware of were due overwhelmingly to bad connections<\/strong>. Some users have also reported to me that some SCART cables, particularly extension leads, have crossed connections, so check that too.<\/p>\n

If you have received a kit, Take care with the polarity<\/strong> diodes D1<\/strong> and D2<\/strong>, as well as to the capacitor C2<\/strong>, they must be welded in the correct orientation.<\/p>\n

Finally, if the mod works, you get picture and sound, but find the colours are strange, bear in mind that the SECAM version of the Atari 2600 is only capable of displaying How many 8 simultaneous colours<\/strong>, compared to 128 colours for the NTSC version, and 104 colours for the PAL version.<\/p>\n
