PS/2 Atari Eiffel Adapter with Joystick ports

At the request of some, I am offering a new batch of 5 Atari Eiffel PS/2. It is likely that once this batch is sold, I will no longer manufacture the Atari Eiffel PS/2 which has been replaced by the Atari Eiffel Pico USB.

Features of the Atari Eiffel PS/2

The Atari Eiffel PS/2 adapter allows you to connect a PS/2 keyboard and mouse to your Atari Mega ST(E) or Atari TT on the keyboard port (RJ12).

Although theoretically compatible, the PS/2 Atari Eiffel adapter cannot be connected to the Atari STF, Atari STE, or Falcon, which have a built-in keyboard, because it uses an RJ12 port (telephone cable) which the Atari STF/E and Falcon do not have. To use a PS/2 or USB mouse on an Atari STF or STE, use the Atari/Amiga mouse and joystick adapter instead, which plugs into the joystick port.

This version of the adapter includes two joystick ports (Joy0 and Joy1) in addition to a PS/2 keyboard and mouse.

Equipped with the latest firmware

All Atari Eiffel adapters sold on this site from 23/02/2024 onwards are supplied with firmware 1.10.1Mq which fixes a joystick firing problem.

Joystick ports do not emulate mouse function, so you cannot plug an Atari mouse into the joystick port.

Keyboard & Mouse Compatibility

You can use a native PS/2 keyboard and mouse, or certain PS/2 compatible USB keyboards and mice, using a USB-to-PS/2 adapter. Avoid wireless PS/2 keyboards and joysticks as some appear to be incompatible.

The Atari Eiffel PS/2 is plug & play

The included PIC microcontroller is pre-programmed, the adapter is ready to use and requires no drivers. The Atari Eiffel PS/2 adapter is "Plug-And-Play".

To connect the adapter to your Atari, you will need a RJ12 (6P6C) straight cable (not included).
